Hope for Augusta offers tutoring, mentoring, art, and Bible teaching year round in order to reach our mission of bringing the hope of the Gospel to students of downtown Augusta.

Volunteer Background Check Requirement

All Hope For Augusta volunteers require a background check.


BACKGROUND CHECKS

NEW TOWN

New Town is our weekly bible study for students grades K-5. We enjoy a meal, play together and learn about the gospel in large and small group settings.

K-5th grade meet at Heritage Academy, 333 Greene Street

REACHING HIGHER

Reaching Higher is Hope for Augusta’s education initiative where students receive homework help, tutoring, and instruction in areas such as Bible, Art, and STEM. Check out details about our three Reaching Higher locations below!

 

At Walton Oaks students in K-6th students receive homework help, tutoring, and instruction in Bible, Art, Music, Dance, and STEM.

ARROW

Arrow is our after school art program for 1st-5th grades. We learn how to create beauty while learning about the Creator of all beauty! Besides cultivating courageous creativity, we learn to endure in our work and how to have joyful spirits always.

URBAN LEADERSHIP

Urban Leadership Program is a mentoring based program with middle and high school students of the downtown Augusta area. We strive to live life on life with the students by having intentional small groups, Christ- centered lessons, and activities to encourage the students to become future leaders.

HOPE BALLET

Hope for Augusta is excited to partner with Columbia County Ballet to offer Hope Ballet! At Hope Ballet, students age 5-10 receive ballet instruction at a highly affordable cost.
