OUR VISION
To bring the hope of the Gospel to students of downtown Augusta and encourage flourishing through education initiatives, personal relationships, and Bible-centered teaching.
OUR HISTORY
In 2010, Hope for Augusta grew out of a bible study for children in the downtown Augusta neighborhood. Rick Keuroglian, one of the founders, and First Presbyterian Church recruited staff to build the organization with tutoring, mentorship and art program impacting students from grades K-12.

Sarah Graybeal
Sarah is from Greenville, SC but has been proud to call Augusta home for seven years now. She studied Art Education at the University of South Carolina and is enjoying getting back into the swing of teaching art in a classroom environment after taking many years off to be at home with young children. She believes in helping kids understand that as children of the Ultimate Creator and being made in his image, that they too are naturally creative and can use their creative endeavors to give glory to God. She aims to expose children to the beauty of creation through art and to help develop confidence through the hard work they put into their artwork that will in turn flow into other areas of their academic and personal lives. Sarah has been married for twelve years and has three children; ages 8, 6 and 2. She enjoys homeschooling her children, making things, traveling, reading and being outside.

What people are saying
Judge David Watkins
State Court Judge
“Hope for Augusta represents to me an embodiment of Christianity with its sleeves rolled up. They act as good neighbors, especially with the kids. They go in and help them to learn those skills, those virtues, those tools that in the end make it less likely that they will come and see me.”
Sarah Graybeal
Arrow Volunteer
“It is such a blessing to be a part of planting seeds of truth in the lives of these children, to watch them explore their God given creativity and create with pride, knowing that doing so can bring Glory to God.”
Laryssa Nilsen
Reaching Higher Volunteer
“Volunteering with Hope for Augusta is one of the highlights of my week. Hope for Augusta is a phenomenal organization with a big dream- they see the needs, they get to work and they bring Christ to our city and I am very thankful that I get to join them.”
Hope For Augusta could not fulfill our mission without the collaboration of these valued partners!
